Coaches compete in 5k obstacle course

Justine Franzen and Joyce Wood, second grade Character Counts! coaching partners at Garnett Elementary School, recently participated in the opening weekend 5K extreme obstacle course competition at Max Tracks in Easton, Maryland. According to Joyce the hardest obstacle of the course was the running. The course, a former dirt bike track, challenged participants with hills and difficult terrain. Justine and Joyce are among many others who have turned to obstacle course 5K competitions to satisfy their need for new experiences and challenges. Their goal for the race was not competitive; instead it was to have fun and to enjoy the challenges of the experience. Way to go coaches!
