Character Counts, Everywhere, All the Time!

Character Counts Kent County’s mission is to strengthen our community by encouraging a culture of kindness and strong ethical values through the Six Pillars of Character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship.

With a comprehensive education program, community events and educational contests we aim to make a positive difference in the lives of the students in Kent County.

CCKC has worked closely with students in grades Pre-K – 9th at Kent County Public Schools for the past 15 years and we look forward to bringing the program to Kent School and Chestertown Christian Academy this year.

The Character Education program is implemented by community volunteers, known to their students as Character Coaches. With support and guidance, our team of Coaches visits classrooms where they hold discussions, organize activities and teach students the importance of strong ethical values.

Character Counts Kent County is an independent non-profit organization operating under the guidance of an Advisory Board and executive director.
